Svetlana Chirkova from the village of Fedoskino is the talented artist who created this elegant portrait of a beautiful loving couple with roses. To paint this portrait the artist has used various shades of grey and brown oils and obviously this painting remind us an old time black-and-white photo.
The portrait is framed with a gold line. The area between the portrait and the lid's edges is painted with scotish ornament painted against the cream background.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the artist's name and dated.
