Description:

This adorable piece of Russian lacquer artistry was created by the talented V. Karlov of Kholuy. It is unique because it has been painted by means of natural pigments. Natural pigments are rocks and minerals such as clay, coal, limestone, etc. The technology of painting using natural pigments was applied by Russian icon painters during centuries.
