Description: The album-anthology Russian Lacquer Miniature: Fedoskino, Palekh, Mstera, Kholui was published by the publishing house Soglasie, Moscow in 1994. The introduction article is written by the famous arts critic Marya Nekrasova. The article is about the history of Russian lacquer miniature art presented by all Russian lacquer miniature centers - Fedoskino, Palekh, Mstera, and Kholui. The article and all subsequent information is written in Russian and English languages.
The album also contains colorful photos of works by the leading artists of Fedoskino, Palekh, Mstera, and Kholui. Each lacquer miniature center is presented with its own section. The section begins with the photos of antiquarian boxes (the Fedoskino section starts with the boxes painted in the 19th century during the Lukutin and Vishnyakov era; while the sections of rest four centers begins with the boxes painted in the beginning of the 20th century) and finishes with the photos of boxes painted by the modern leading artists. Under each photo you can find information on the displayed box written in Russian and English languages; it includes the artist's name, the year of its creation, the title, the materials it is made out, and the museum where it is exhibited. The album ends with the list of all displayed illustrations written in Russian, English, German and Franch languages. Hard cover. 295 pages.
