Tatyana Tipyakova of Fedoskino is the accomplished master responsible for the gorgeous artistry before you. Her ability to create realistic landscape themes is second to none. Because of the extraordinary details and surreal color schemes, Tipyakova has announced herself as one of the premier artists covering themes of this nature.
The work is called “Russian Bath-House”, and shows a serene summer landscape. The orange-red sunset glows brightly in the sky. The river reflects the fire of the skies and shimmers with orange, pink and gold tones. Puffs of smoke rises up to the sky over the small wooden bathhouse built just on the riverbank. Someone is taking a steam bath at the moment.
Orange-red tones of oils and gold paint are used to paint the sunset while the rest part of the landscape is drawn in dark brown oils. A large piece of mother-of-pearl that shines with green, blue, gold, and pink undertones is set into the river. Gold dust is spread throughout the scene to animate and decorate it.
The scene is framed with a gold line, while the box's sides are adorned with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged at the top and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the year of 2007, and the title (“Russian Bath-House”).
