This peaceful summer landscape with a small village church has been painted by Yuliya Golubyonkova. The palette the artist uses is very realistic, which makes the composition very convincing. The architecture is precisely painted. Each of the lid's corners is decorated with a simple pattern composed of tiny silver metal punch-outs that serve as a frame for the depicted scene.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name.
