This box has been drawn by the talented Fedoskino painter Natalya Gogina. It shows a picturesque view of a little house hidden in the forest. There is a small river drawn on the back side of a box.The artist picked up very smooth yellow and green pallete of colors to this work. These colors are bringing very realistically the atmosphere of the season-late summer or the begging of fall!
A simply elegant skan design wraps around the sides of the box. Skan are individual gold punchouts that are applied to the box during the drying process of the lacquer.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged to the top of the painting, and the box rests on four feet. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2002 on the box's exterior bottom.
