Tatiana Skripunova from the village of Fedoskino is the author of this beautiful woman's portrait. A depicted woman gazes pleasantly at the viewer from beneath a cascade of soft brown curls. Her large brown eyes and faint smile create a flattering and sentimental portrait. She holds herself with an elegant posture, creating a regal appearance despite her simple clothing.
The edges of the lid are decorated with silver scan patterns (made of tiny beads hand punched from silver metal sheets, and then glued to the box manually).
The box is made out of high quality paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2008.
