The talented Fedoskino artist Mishin created this beautiful winter landscape. The scene painted in various shades of oils shines brightly with mother-of-pearl inlay. Gold paint is used to draw a nine pattern around the scene. Having opened the box, you will be surprised to find a small shell glued to the box's interior bottom!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title ("The Small Bridge") and the year of 2007.
