This charming box is a creation of Tatyana Gomzina. It shows a beautiful girl enjoying the fresh aroma of lilac. Lilac is the most popular bush in Russia that can be called a symbol of spring. In May when the trees begin to blossom, lilac bushes are covered with clusters of violet flowers. Lilac bushes can be found in streets and squares, parks and gardens. Lilac bouquets decorate the houses of people filling them with a delicate fragrance.
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
