Kosheleva Irina painted this nice box that shows a couple playing kittens. The scene is painted with photo quality accuracy using various tones of oils. The brushstrokes are almost invisible. It takes years to perfect the skill that it takes to paint a realistic scene such as this!
Gold line is used to frame the scene, while the box's sides are decorated with another gold line.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
