This beautiful seashore has been drawn by Iliya Buzovkin. We can see a qiet bay with the rocks and a sailing ship on the back of the composition.
Buzovkin achieves some very good textures here. The water, particularly in the foreground, looks strikingly realistic, same as the skies! The forms in the distance are naturally less detailed, creating a sense of depth. The scene is quite calm and peaceful!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The sides of the box are decorated with two parallel gold lines. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the year of 2010.
