This handsome piece of authentic Russian artistry was created by the talented Tatyana Tipyakova of Fedoskino. The work is called "Fedoskino" and shows the early Spring landscape near village of Fedoskino. A truly fascinating example of landscape composition!
A combination of gray and creamy white oils creates the immensely realistic atmosphere of a forest while light blue tones of oils are used to paint the ice and water on the river. The forest drawn in the background, and we can see the bushes, river and ski tracks in the center of the composition.We also can see the birds coming back from the south. It might be the first birds which coming backv-the rooks.
The scene is framed with a gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title ("Fedoskino"), and the year of 2006.
