This beautiful view of the ancient Russian town of Suzdal in winter is painted by Shavyrin Boris. The scene is painted in the realistic style. Large piece of mother-of-pearl is inlayed in the sky.
The box's sides are adorned with imitation of a blue marble.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four wavy legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the year of 2011.
