This festive box has been painted by a talented family duet of Artists the Komogorovs Svetlana and Konstantin.
The work is called "An Autumn" and shows us an Autumn as Lady. The scene is painted in bright oil paints to create a festal mood. Shining pieces of gold metal leaf that can be found in the costume of Autumn and rich golden ornaments are used to underline the beauty of Autumn.
At the top of the composition is decorated with maple leaves. Autumn has a diadem of maple leaves in her hair. The edges of the lid are adorned with a wide gold band that is extended on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, and the village of Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
