The scene is masterfully painted in beautifully combined paints. Brilliant gold and silver paint is applied with a very thin brush to enhance various details.
Composition is framed with a gold line.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black paint covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. Gold line wrap around the sides of the box as an original ornamentation. The box has a hinge to its left and rests on a four round legs. It is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
