This gorgeous box of Russian lacquered miniature artistry has been created by talented artist Davydova Lidia of Fedoskino.
On the box's lid the artist has painted stormy marine scene. The waves are quite high and strong. The sailboat approaches the shore to find protection from the waves in the bay or port.
The ship equipment - all cables and ropes are drawn very thinly! Same as spray from the tops of the waves, whipped by a strong wind. Details are amazing!
The box's exterior is painted in light blue colour. The composition is framed with a gold line and two parallel lines are decorated the box's sides.
The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The box is made out of paper-mache. The box's lid is hinged from the top of the scene and rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
