This interesting work has been painted by Dmitry Tipyakov from the village of Fedoskino. It continues the artist's Space theme dedicated to his philosophic ideas on this subject.
The work is called "The Black Lightning of Space". Here we can see a sailing boat in the middle of a lake located around a high coniferous forest. The action takes place at night. Several planets in the sky are looks very close. Space is very close to the planet of Earth!
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a wavy platform with eight legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title and the year of 2008.
