The box is made out of paper-mache. Tiny gold beads frame the ova scene; the edges of the lid are adorned with complex patterns consisted of a brown band painted in oils and vines of gold flowers and tiny gold beads that twin around this band. The sides are covered with the brown broad pattern that looks like sprayed brown oils; this pattern is covered with gold and black dots and spots and imitates stone. The sides are also decorated with beautiful gold floral patterns and brown bands. The box has a hinge from the left of the composition and rests on four legs. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box is signed with the artist's name (Letyagina N.), village (Fedoskino) and year (2001).
