The peaceful summer landscape painted on this box is a creation by Svyatchenkov from the village of Fedoskino.
Mother-of-pearl and multiple layers of aluminum powder are placed as a strategic background for the scene. It helps to enhance the colors, and create a beautiful visual effect. Green and silver tones dominate here. The grass and the trees are highlighted with gold powder.
The scene is framed with two parallel silver lines. The box's exterior, and interior are covered with white lacquer. This white area is decorated with tiny green and gray veins of various shades.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition; the box rests on a flat bottom. The work signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino and the year of 2004 at the bottom of the scene.
