Alexander Fedorov from the village of Fedoskino painted this peaceful summer landscape. The scene is painted in delicate green tones in the realistic style. It demonstrates the artist's impeccable painting technique as everything here is painted in diminutive brushstrokes that are absolutely invisible.
The scene is framed with "scan patterns" composed of tiny shapes hand punched from silver metal sheets and then painstakingly affixed by hand to the box. Silver scan patterns can be also found wrapping around the box's sides. On the box's exterior bottom you can find the artist's initials
