The well-known Fedoskino artist Lyubov Pashinina created this attractive small box. It features a pretty girl dressed in the Russian traditional costume enjoying aroma of a flower. Her head-dress, sarafan and shirt are detailed with lustrous gold paint; gold paint is also used to draw the flower the girl holds in her hand and to highlight her hair.
The girl is painted against the beautiful silvery-golden background. A piece of mother-of-pearl shines through the background, from the right of the girl's face.
The box's exterior bottom is covered with gold metal power, and decorated with a lace-like pattern composed of tiny silver flowers. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, the year of 2006, and the village of Fedoskino.
