This portrait of a lovely young woman has been created by Iglinskaya. The woman's appearance is very romantic and dreamy. Her noble face is realistically painted, especially her widely opened eyes and complexion. She is dressed in the rich attire that reflects the fashion of medieval epoch, and wears precious jewelry. The design work on her dark red robe is thoroughly involved and brushed deliberately. The ruffles in her white shirt are precise but natural. Pearls of her diadem and necklace shine brightly; her veil is so delicately painted that it seems to be transparent. The different materials are given different textures.
Brown and dark crimson tones of oil paints dominate here. Gold paint is used to detail the woman's costume. Dark crimson tone of oils has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior; but in some places this dark crimson tone changes into the red tone. The box's sides are adorned with the nice pattern that looks like lace that decorates the Russian traditional costume. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. It has a hinge to the left of the portrait and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name.
