This beautifully shaped box has been created by Davydova from the village of Fedoskino. The box's lid as well as its sides show big brown butterflies hovering over charming pink and white orchids. The same butterflies and orchids decorate the box's interior; they are painted both on the lid's interior and on the box's interior bottom.
Gold metal leaf shines brightly through each of the butterflies drawn on the lid, on the sides and on the box's interior.
The box's exterior as well as its interior are dark crimson, and covered densely with gold blurry spots.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on legs. The work is signed with the artist's name.
