This portrait of a young beautiful lady has been painted by Sergey Fomichyov. The artist has used just the right techniques to create such a stunning work. The lady's face is exactly proportionate. Shadows fall in all the right places, the folds of her clothes are precise but natural, and the different materials are given different textures.
To paint the work the artist has used a beautiful brown palette. Gold metal paint creates the brilliance of the lady's necklaces.
The portrait is framed with a nice gold pattern accented with red and blue oil paints. The similar pattern but a little bigger in size can be found decorating the box's sides. The lower part of the box's body is adored with gold beads. The box's sides are also decorated with a wide crimson ribbon highlighted with silver and gold powder.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box. The red lacquered interior is outlined with black paint as an original ornamentation. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on legs. Signed with the artist's name, and the year of 2006.
