This interesting work has been created by the talented Fedoskino artist Yuriy Butsinsky. It is a decorative plate made out of paper-mache. It rests on a special support that is attached to the plate with a hinge. The plate shows a picturesque view of St.-Petersburg of the 18th century. The scene is framed with a gold band. The entire surface of the plate is covered with gold powder that shines with a brownish undertone; the exception is a part of the rear side of the plate covered with the beige velvety material.
