Description:

Alexander Mitusov of Fedoskino is the artist who painted this picturesque view of the Moscow Kremlin that is Russia's stronghold and spiritual hub. In the foreground we can see a fragment of the Kremlin's red bricked wall, while in the background the artist has depicted the Belfry of Ivan the Terrible, the Archangel Cathedral, the fragment of the Cathedral of Annunciation and the fragment of the Spasskaya Tower.
The scene is set into the rectangle. Various shades of blue suitable for reproduction of a winter scene dominate here. A large piece of mother-of-pearl inlaid in the center of the scene shines through the sky and through the architecture.
The box's exterior imitates coloring of marble (dark and light blue tiny veins are scattered densely against the black lacquered surface). The lid and the box's sides are decorated with elegant silver scan patterns. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino.
