Renowned Fedoskino painter Galina Dubovikova has crafted this exquisite portrait of a Russian boyaryshnya.
“Boyaryshnya” as this work is entitled was originally painted on canvas by Konstantin Makovsky in 1890.
The portrait is framed with a gold line. The box's sides are decorated with elegant gold tartan patterns.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portraitt, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name .
