This bright elegant box has been painted by Tatyana Fedorova. The artist is charmed with a fragile beauty of the asters, and depicts these flowers very expressively. The fresh pink and red flowers surrounded with green leaves, and flower buds that are about to bloom look so beautifully painted against the delicate lilac background. The dew drops shine on the leaves and stems. Gold paint is used to make an accent on some of the flowers and buds. The flowers are so skillfully painted that they have a three-dimensional look. The painting is extended slightly on the box's sides. The box is captivating.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Its exterior is of a delicate lilac tone while its interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2007.
