This magnificent Fedoskino box was created by artist Letyagina . It features a little girl playing with a puppy. It is a gorgeous piece of Fedoskino realism.
The exterior of the box is covered with cream paints. The scene is framed with elegant gold patterns. The same patterns decorate the edges of the lid and the box's bottom border.
The exterior of the box including the lid and the sides are decorated with beautiful tartan patterns. This ornamentation is supplemented with tiny silver punch-outs (these are hand punched from metal sheets and then painstakingly affixed by hand to the box). The interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of high-quality paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The box is signed with the name of the artist, the year of 1998, and the village of Fedoskino in brown oils at the bottom of the scene.
