This elegant oval box is an enchanting creation of Alla Kozlova. Here she depicts a summer landscape with a dog hunting after ducks. The entire scene is painted mustard oils on the thin oval piece of mother-of-pearl glued to the box's lid. Mother-of-pearl inlay shines with green and pink undertones.
The box's exterior is covered with light grey lacquer. The edges of the lid and the box's sides are adorned with parallel gold lines. A nice tartan pattern painted in red, black, white and gold decorate the box's exterior bottom. The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the village of Fedoskino.
