Oleg Gavrilov of Fedoskino is the exceptional master that created this beautiful piece. On the box's lid the artist has expressively drawn a hummingbird hovering over the pink orchids. The scene is painted against a delicate green pinkish background. The same tone has been chosen by the artist for covering the entire box's exterior. A brilliant gold metal leaf shines through the hummingbird, the stamen of the orchid and through some of the blades of grass.
The box's interior imitates the color of a malachite stone (dark green veins and blurry spots are scattered against the light green background). On the box's interior bottom the artist has written his name, and drawn several dew drops. A shining gold metal thread wraps around the box's sides.
The box is made out of paper-mache. There is a hinge on the left, and the box rests on a flat bottom.
