Viktor Tretyakov is the talented Fedoskino artist who painted this touching scene. Here he has drawn the portrait of a charming, little girl who sits on the ground surrounded with chicken, eggs and a hen. The box's sides are adorned with a beautiful tartan pattern drawn in white and olive oils, and framed with parallel gold lines.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged and the box sits flat. The Fedoskino "troika" insignia can be found on the interior of the lid. The work is signed by the artist.
