Tatyana Dmitrieva always creates very attractive boxes, and this box is one more her splendid creation. It shows a peasant girl with the basket of berries painted against the light blue background. Silver paint shines beautifully through the oils creating brilliance of the girl's ribbons, her sarafan and the basket of berries.
The scene is framed with a gold line. The box's sides are adorned with a wide blue band outlined with gold.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom.
The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2006.
