This large rectangular box is an original master work of Yelena Khomutinnikova from the village of Fedoskino. Painted in brown tones of oils and richly detailed with brilliant gold paint, the composition shows a beautiful girl walking through the autumn forest and the owl looking straightly at the viewer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box's exterior is covered with cream lacquer mixed with gold powder while the interior is covered with cream velvety material. The box is closed firmly with the help of a golden knob. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene and the box rests on four gold rounded legs. The work is signed with the artist's name.
The box was finished in the Workshops of Yuriy Chernobayevskiy (husband of Top Fedoskino artist Lubov Pashinina)!
