Description:

This splendid view of the St. Basil's Cathedral has been painted by young but well-known Fedoskino artist Alexander Chirkov.
Chirkov has used bright red tones of oils to paint the cathedral whereas the buildings located in the background are painted in light grey tones. The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the piece. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, the village Fedoskino, the year of 2007, and the title (
