The box shows a bouquet of flowers in a vase. Several apples are added to the composition on a table. Rogatova has continued a series of works painted on flower theme.
The scene is painted in bright oils over a white creamy background. A piece of mother-of pearl is in-layed to the top of the composition.
The edges of the lid are outlined with gold. The box's sides are decorated with an intricate floral pattern accompanied by a simple gold design that wraps around the bottom part of the box's exterior.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The exterior of the piece is painted with a creamy white lacquer. The interior is painted with a red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
