This small square box is a creation of the well-known artist Natalya Orlova. The work is called "Squabbler", and shows a little girl stand near two fighting little boys.
The palette is rich but the predominance is given to various shades of bright red and white oils. Gold metal powder is mixed into oils to enhance some elements of the composition. The painting is spread on the box's lid.The installation is consist of a plate and a box. On a plate we can see a cock fight, that reminds us to fighting boys on a box...The plate is stands on three glass round feet.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2011 on the box's interior bottom on a piece of mother-of-pearl.
