This entrancing elegance was created by the Top 10 Fedoskino artist Sergey Rogatov. His works are as easy to recognize as his talent is easy to fall in love with. Here Sergey has presented an adorable work painted on the Christmas and New Year themes.
Here we can see Santa(or father Frost in Russia) sit in a sledge full of kids, his daughter Snowmaiden, New Year's tree and gifts. The sledge is carried by a horse, painted very intricate and decorated with gold stars. Peaceful birds painted in gold are following the sledge. On the backstage we can see a beautiful magic town painted in white tones. And , of course, recognizable feature of most of the painting of Sergey--the trees. Painted here in white colors, they are so detailed and complex, that you can look at them for a long time with a magnify glass...
The depicted scene is framed with a gold line.
The box's exterior sides are masterfully decorated with stars and ornaments painted in gold. Looks perfect on the contrasting black color!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted with black lacquer while the interior is completed with dark red lacquer. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the name of the artists and the village of Fedoskino.
