Talented Fedoskino artist Liliana Slaeva is the author of this beautiful scene. The work is called "Daisy", and shows a peasant boy who sit next to a girl a bench and showing her a daisy flower. A pair is smiling and probably flirting. The action is taking place in the end of Summer or in the beginning of Fall, because some fresh apples are felt out the basket.
Black tone has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title and the year of 2014 at the bottom of the composition.
The small add "aut." in front of the name confirms that this box is original artist creation!
