This attractive Mstera box is a production of the Mstera lacquer art factory. In the middle of it there is a small composition featuring a squirrel and birds sitting on the fir branches dotted with fir cones and on the oak branches dotted with acorns. The rest part of the composition is decorated with multicolored flowers. The composition is painted against the dark olive background, and encircled with a thin gold line. Intricately painted and pretty gold floral patterns frame the round composition, and decorate the lid's edges.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition and rests on a flat bottom. The work isn't signed.
