Description:

This exceptional production was created by Mstera favorite Daniil Molodkin. The master's imagination commits several acts of advanced artistic application here. Experience is obvious, recognized by the mesmerizing color combinations and the decoration that is so much more than compliment. Collectors that acquire Daniil Molodkin's works, know that they have. Fantasy brought to life.
This work continues the artist's series of works showing fantastic creatures, living in a downsized grass world. These creatures, gnomes and dwarfs, have towns, villages, playgrounds, shops, ports and libraries. Here the artist has depicted a water-carrier, who waters a dwarf. The dwarf holds a pipe in his right hand, and money in his left hand. He is going to pay a water-carrier for his water. The composition is filled with different details. Here we can find fantastic flowers and plants, bugs and ladybirds, a bird and a snail. The clothes of the gnomes, as well as the water-carrier's jugs are expertly detailed with a wide variety of flowered and geometric designs. The scene is very bright and colorful. To paint the gnomes the artist uses blue and red tones, while the background is filled with greens and earthen tones. Molodkin's application of gold enhances the fairy-tale energy that the piece brings with it. Gold highlights the plants and the gnomes' clothes.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid's composition and the four sides of the base are all decorated with flawless gold and aluminum filigree. These patterns appear as rolling strands of vines that bloom into flowered buds. A hinge has been fastened to the top of the composition, and the box sits on four small carved legs. The artist signature and title can be found right underneath of composition. This is a festive and light-hearted piece by a young and talented artist!
