This is a fresh original creation of Daniil Molodkin. The theme of his grass world inhabited by dwarfs and elves seems to be inexhaustible. This exceptional work continues this interesting theme. Here Molodkin depicts a humorous scene. The dwarf presents one more egg to the red dragon that incubates huge eggs. The artist has also demonstrated his good sense of humor by giving a funny title to this work - "A Small Gift".
The scene is very bright and animated. Green and red tones of tempera paints dominate here. Gold as always, is used to enhance the details in the box and to fully bring the colors to life.
The scene is outlined with gold. The edges of the lid and the box's sides are decorated with Molodkin's style gold leafy ornaments.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Mstera and the title.
