The famous Mstera artist, Daniil Molodkin, is the author of this interesting box. Daniil is a master of painting fantastic scenes, and each of his unique boxes shows a whimsical world invented in the creative mind of this talented artist. Here Daniil depicts the allegory of autumn. He imagines autumn as the young beautiful, red-haired woman dressed in the sarafan decorated with bright red, orange, yellow, and green leaves. She holds the big fish on the leash. The fish sleeps hovering in the air.
The palette contains vivid, beautifully combined colors. Some details as rush, scale of the fish swimming in the pond and elements of the girl's costume are enhanced with bright gold paint.
The scene is framed with a very thin gold line. The edges of the lid are adorned with rich gold leafy patterns. The same gold leafy patterns only bigger in size can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged at the top and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Mstera and the title ("Autumn").
