Description:

This rectangular box has been painted by famous Mstera artist Vladimir Moshkovich.
The painting is showing us a historical moment of Russia-a battle with Tatars-Mongols in the ancient centuries. Not all the times Russians were the winners, but looking at this composition we can tell that Moshkovich as a patriot has painted a successful battle for the Russians.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The box's exterior is decorated with intricate gold and aluminum ornamentation. A hinge has been fastened along the top of the composition and the box rests on the four round legs. The work is signed and titled by the author.
