Description:

This beautiful bright work was created by the young talented artist Anastasia Denisenko from the village of Palekh. She is a daughter of the famous Palekh artist Marina Denisenko. Anastasia has a bright future and as of now she is a diamond in the rough as a lacquer miniaturist.
The box shows a boy and a girl playing with a puppy in the beautiful garden. Just above their heads there is an arch entwined with large pink bellflowers. The similar flowers decorate the sides of the box entwining round two parallel sticks that wrap around the box's sides. The costumes of the children are skillfully painted with a lot details. The structure of the composition includes different supplementary elements including tiny birds, various species of flowers, the swing, the wooden toy horse and many others.
The palette is especially bright in this composition, which employs green, pink, blue, brown and orange paints. Gold paint is used to add minute detail to almost every aspect of the scene. Aluminum paint decorates the girl's dress.
The edges of the lid are decorated with elegant gold and aluminum patterns.
The box is originally designed. It repeats the form of a shell. Inside the box we can find the red ripe apple instead of a pearl.
Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests flat. The box is signed with the artist's name and the village of Palekh.
