This small round box is a creation of Anastasya Denisenko, the daughter of Marina Denisenko, who is a very artistic and talented young woman. It displays a girl picking berries in the forest. To concentrate the viewer's attention on the girl, the artist has painted her costume in bright red tones whereas the surrounding forest setting is drawn in green tones. Various details are enhanced with gold and aluminum paint. Gold and aluminum is also used to decorate the box's exterior with elegant patterns.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the village of Palekh.
