Sergey Kolesnik from the village of Palekh is the talent behind this beautifully done piece of Russian artistry.
The work is called "Mozart and Salieri".
Golden ornament is framed the composition and to decorate the sides of the box. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Dark green lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while dark red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition. The artist wrote his name, the village name of Palekh at the bottom of the composition.The title is written above the composition. The date (1996) and made in Russia is sign on the bottom's exterior of the box.
