Maria is a veteran of the World War II (1942-1945). She was a sailor of the Baltic Fleet! Pershina was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd Degree, medals for the Defense of Leningrad, for Military Merit, for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Maria Pershina was born on March 2, 1918 in Palekh and died there on February 18, 2002.
The artist studied at the Palekh Vocational School (1932-1936), engaged in porcelain painting, portrait, lacquer miniature. Participant of exhibitions since 1938. The works are kept in the State Museum of Palekh Art, the Museum of the Revolution (Moscow), the Kiev Museum of Russian Art.
