Rogatov Sergey Sergeevich (1955)

Sergey Sergeevich Rogatov was born in the village of Fedoskino in 1955. He comes from the family of miniature painters. His father, Sergey Petrovich Rogatov (born in 1920), and his mother, Mariya Ivanovna Rogatova (a copyist artist), were famous Fedoskino painters. Finished the Fedoskino Art School where he studied under G.I. Larishev and P.S. Davydov. He has been working in the Fedoskino Factory since 1974. Participant of various exhibitions since 1975. His artwork "Summer garden" won a medal in the Pushkin Exhibition in 2000.
Favorite themes to depict are historical subjects, allegories and landscapes. Paints his compositions mostly in pastel tones, achieving peculiar depth of color.
Sergey Rogatov is a member of the Union of Russian Artists.
