Kortikova Lyubov Alexandrovna was born in 1960 in the town of Ardatov, Gorky Region. Now she resides in the village of Palekh, Ivanovo Region.
In 1988 the artist finished the Palekh Art School. Her teachers were Nemtinov B.M., Smirnov N.M., Bratchikova E.K., Golov V.I. and Kotov V.T.
The graduation project of Kortikova was the box entitled "Ivan Tsarevich and the Grey Wolf".
At present the artist works in the Union of Palekh Artists. She paints her works in the traditions of Palekh lacquered miniature painting, using tempera paints. Themes of her works are fairy-tales, modern folklore and songs.
Lyubov prefers to use in painting warm and soft colors. Besides the traditions of Palekh lacquered miniature she often applies in work her personal painting techniques.
The artist supposes her works can be easily recognizable owing to peculiar style of execution. To her opinion enthusiasts of Lacquer Art will appreciate her works for thinness of painting, beautiful coloring, interesting themes and usual shapes.
Painting of such prominent artists as Bilibin I.Ya., Rembrandt, Serov V.A., Kustodiev B.M., Salvador Dali, Kandinsky V.V., Behzad, Breigel, Savrasov A.K. had a great influence on the artistís creativity.
In her free time Lyubov likes to travel, visit different museums and excursion, read books and meet with her friends.
